850 KW Biomass Boiler on University Campus
O'Neill Associates obtained planning permission for a containerised biomass boiler and fuel store at the University of York’s Heslington East campus.
The boiler has a potential output of 850 KW and is connected to the district heating network of the campus. It enables a proportion of the University’s energy demand to be met from renewable sources, which is one of the key aims of their renewable energy strategy.
Work to assist the University on their developing energy strategy is ongoing.
