Planning application submitted for new Grade A Offices in York city centre

The Crescent

Category: Commercial

Location: York

O’Neill Associated are working on behalf of York-based developers North Star to progress proposals for a new Grade A office building on The Crescent in York City Centre.

The development will provide 32,400 sq ft (net) office accommodation, helping meet an identified need for modern, high-quality accommodation in the city centre after years of limited new development and in context of several old office buildings being converted into alternative uses.

The proposed scheme represents a high standard of design informed by careful consideration of the site context at the junction of two different character areas of the Conservation Area.

The development will read as a modern continuation of The Crescent, having consideration to the scale and materiality of the Victorian terrace as well as the railway area, and will form a building of quality that will make a positive contribution to its environment.
